Pilates Training
Pilates (puh-lah-tees) is an innovative form of physical and mental exercises that rejuvenate the muscles and enhance the overall functioning of your body. The focus is on core muscle groups of the abdomen, lower back, hips and buttocks. Pilates creates a streamlined body, improves coordination and body awareness, and combats stress and tension. The important principles observed in Pilates exercises are:
- Breath control to promote mental focusing
- Making slender and longer muscles
- Awareness of neutral spine alignment, or proper posture.
Stuart provides one-on-one sessions in his studio using the Reformer, mat, bosu and stability ball (RATES). He also teaches group mat classes.
